Thank you for coming out and packing the Burnett County Government Center this morning!
The Burnett County Board voted on the Moratorium on livestock facilities licensing today. The vote on a 12-month moratorium passed 16 to 3 (and 2 not present).
The Board also created a large-scale livestock study ad-hoc committee. This committee will do the research and studies during the one-year moratorium period. Once they get everything in place this committee will hold meetings that are open to the public.
We need to continue to be proactive and not become complacent.
