It’s been a busy summer — with Nature Energy trying to locate a manure digester in New Richmond (after failing in Roberts, Town of Pleasant Valley and Cady Township), the DNR public hearings for Minglewood and Emerald Sky Dairy…..we felt there’s been a lot of interest and questions from the general public that could benefit hearing data and experience from experts concerning their drinking water.
Thus…. Emerald Clean Water For All is hosting a Clean Water Forum on Thursday, Sept. 28, 2023 from 1-4 pm at Riverwood Nature Center in Star Prairie, WI.
Dr. Steve Oberle and Ken Bradbury, experts in soil health, groundwater and geology, will be on a panel answering your questions along with Tara Daun from Wisconsin Farmers Union.
Lisa Doerr from Polk County will explain how 6 townships worked together to protect their water, air, property values and way of life when faced with out-of-state industrial producers.
Staff from St. Croix County Community Development and Public Health will also be speaking to us and answering questions.
