As we are all aware, the Town of Eureka is in a lawsuit over it’s CAFO Operations Ordinance. The reason that these ordinances were instituted in the first place was to fill in the gaps missing in State law to protect our local air, water and property values.
An opportunity arises fairly close to home. Governor Evers will be in Superior, Wi in January doing a listening session. Here is the link:
Opportunity Knocks, Please Answer
This is an opportunity to ask the Governor to make it a legislative priority to fold the language of our CAFO Ordinances into State law where feasible. As we all know the DNR has limited control over many forms of pollution caused by CAFOs.
CLEAN AIR AND CLEAN WATER ARE THE BIRTH RIGHT OF ALL WISCONSIN CITIZENS AND SHOULD BE PROTECTED.
