Dear KnowCAFOs supporter – Wisconsin’s state legislature is in full swing. We need you to take just a few moments TODAY to call or email Assemblyman Duke Tucker about the Water Pollution Notification Act, Assembly Bill 635. This Right-to-Know bill will require Wisconsin DNR to notify county and tribal health departments about water contamination that can threaten our wells. This is bipartisan legislation that will help ensure local officials have the tools needed to help private well owners protect our families.
Let’s thank Assemblyman Tucker for co-authoring this important bill. He also helped get a hearing on the bill in the House Environment Committee. Now we need him to ask House Environment Committee Chair Joy Goeben to schedule a committee vote on the bill and send it to the full assembly to pass.
